Encore Examination Chairs
Upright to fully flat at the push of a button
The Encore comes in automatic and manual versions sharing the same chassis and design. The automatic model's dual hydraulic system takes the chair from fully upright to completely horizontal, or anywhere in between, from backlit programmable switches, and returns it to the seated position with another press. The manual model uses the patient's own weight to recline smoothly. Both take optional surgical accessories for in-office elective procedures.
What it does
- Automatic model: dual hydraulic system, fully upright to fully horizontal at a button press
- Backlit, programmable control switches with a favorite recline position dial
- Safety switch disables chair operation, useful with curious hands nearby
- Manual model: patient's weight assists a smooth, quiet recline
- Optional surgical accessories including fixed surgical headrest and surgeon's hand rest
- Marco's 10-step hand-finished painting process
- Scuff-resistant, easily cleaned high-impact covers on arms and base
- Upholstery in black, navy, charcoal, silver and two-tone black/silver

Best fit
Practices doing minor in-office procedures, and any lane where the chair is going fully flat more than occasionally.
Why consider it
A chair is the piece of the lane every patient touches and the one that dates a practice fastest. The Encore's reason to exist is the full-flat position reached in one press of a backlit programmable switch, which matters if you are doing lid work, foreign body removal or anything else that wants the patient horizontal and the doctor not fighting a lever. Optional surgical accessories include a fixed surgical headrest and a surgeon's hand rest, and a safety switch disables chair operation when curious hands are nearby. Five upholstery options.
What to compare
The automatic and manual Encore share a chassis and appearance - if procedures are not a regular part of your week, the manual is the same chair with a simpler weight-assisted motion at a lower price, and you are not giving up anything you use. Below both, the Bravo 2 is the everyday chair for routine examination, and the E-Z Tilt is the manual-recline option with a wider elevation range. Buy the Encore for the procedures, not for the look.
